U of M Hosts White Coat Ceremony for First-Year Medical Students

The University of Minnesota Medical School will host the 2008 White Coat Ceremony to welcome first-year students into the profession of medicine, as well as share and celebrate their purpose with friends and families.
The ceremony will include a speech by physician, bioethicist, and author Steven Miles, and induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society of senior medical students, residents, and a faculty physician. This society honors those who demonstrate excellence in clinical care, leadership, compassion, and dedication to service.
The ceremony will be followed by a reception.
