Minnesota Future Doctors celebrate first year of success

Future Doc Pic IIDuring an ice cream social and poster session, first-year participants in the Minnesota Future Doctor’s Program celebrated the completion of a six-week summer session.

The program, hosted by the University of Minnesota Medical School and the Mayo Clinic Medical School, allows culturally diverse undergraduate students from across the state to shadow physicians, meet with patients, and perform case studies.

Along the way, participants learn tips such as how to spruce-up their resumes or nail an admissions interview. By the end of the three-year program, these undergraduate students are well on their way to gaining admittance into medical school.
